BIOS Setup Utility ACPI Configuration The ACPI Configuration sub-menu allows you to configure the Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) settings. The General ACPI Configuration is under this sub-menu. Press [Enter] to launch the General ACPI Configuration screen. Press [Enter] again to view the ACPI state. In the above screen, the current setting is displayed. Press [Enter] to change the ACPI state to use when the system goes to suspend mode. Available options are: • S1 (POS): Power On Standby. All processor caches are flushed and the CPU stops executing instructions. The CPU and RAM power are maintained, however, other devices may be powered down. • S3 (STR): Commonly referred to as Standby or Sleep. RAM is still powered. ViewSonic VPC100 21

ACPI Configuration
The ACPI Configuration sub-menu allows you to configure the Advanced
Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI) settings. The General ACPI
Configuration is under this sub-menu.
Press [Enter] to launch the General ACPI Configuration screen.
