VCS754 Administrator and Provisioning Manual "log" Module: Log Settings The log settings control system logging activities. System logging may be required for troubleshooting purposes. The following logging modes are supported:  Serial/Console-system log output to an external console using a serial/RS-232 cable  Syslog server-output to a log file on a separate server  Volatile file The log settings follow the format: log.[element]. All the log settings are included in the general configuration file. Setting: log.syslog_enable Description: Enables or disables log output to syslog server. Values: 0 (disabled), 1 (enabled) Default: 0 Setting: log.syslog_server_address Description: Sets the syslog server IP address. Values: Text string (IPv4) Default: Blank Setting: log.syslog_server_port Description: Sets the syslog server port. Values: 1-65535 Default: 514 Setting: log.syslog_level Description: Sets the log level. "log" Module: Log Settings
The log settings control system logging activities. System logging may be required for
troubleshooting purposes. The following logging modes are supported:
Serial/Console—system log output to an external console using a serial/RS-232
cable
Syslog server—output to a log file on a separate server
Volatile file
The log settings follow the format: log.[element].
All the log settings are included in the general configuration file.

log.syslog_enable
Description:
Enables or disables log output to syslog server.
Values:
0 (disabled), 1 (enabled)

Description:
Sets the syslog server IP address.
Values:
Text string (IPv4)

Description:
