IMPORTANT UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place the box containing your Waring Pro® blender on a flat sturdy surface before unpacking. 2. Open corrugated flaps. 3. Remove instruction book and any printed materials from top of box. 4. Pull up corrugation and remove. Remove jar and padding. CAUTION: Sharp blade inside blender jar. 5. R emove corrugated insert. Remove blender base from box and set aside. 6. R eplace all corrugated inserts in the gift box and save the box for repacking. REPACKING INSTRUCTIONS 1. Place blender on a large, sturdy flat surface. 2. Carefully place blender base in bottom of box. 3. Place long corrugated insert over base. 4. Insert blender jar and padding. 5. Close and seal box for shipping. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following: 1. R EAD ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING. 2. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. 3. To protect against electrical hazards, do not immerse the blender base in water or other liquid. 4. Do not use carbonated liquids in the blender jar, or any blending container. Using carbonated liquids in the blender jar or any blending container may result in injury. 5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. 6. Avoid coming into contact with moving parts. 7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged 2 in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. 8. The use of attachments including canning jars not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause hazards. 9. Do not use outdoors. 10. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. 11. Keep hands and utensils out of container while blending, to prevent the possibility of severe personal injury and/or damage to the blender. A rubber scraper may be used, but must be used only when the blender is not running. 12. Blades are sharp. Handle carefully. 13. Always operate blender with lid in place. 14. When blending hot liquids, remove center piece of two-piece lid. See Hot Blending instructions. 15. The use of ear protection is recommended during extended operating periods. 16. See Cleaning and Sanitizing instructions for all Waring Pro® Blenders. NOT FOR WATERJET CLEANING. 17. Do not operate your appliance in an appliance garage or under a wall cabinet. When storing in an appliance garage, always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. Not doing so could create a risk of fire, especially if the appliance touches the walls of the garage or the door touches the unit as it closes.
