MANAGING YOUR DRIVE WITH WD QUICK VIEW Mapping the Drive (Windows) 1. Select Map [WD My Cloud device name] on the WD Quick View submenu. The Map Network Drive page displays: 2. Select the desired letter from the Drive drop-down list. 3. Click the Finish button. Note: When Windows attempts to reconnect a Mapped Network Drive after a restart, the "Unable to reconnect mapped network drives" error may appear. This can occur if the username and password of the WD My Cloud Personal Cloud Storage drive do not match the current Window's username and password information. Creating a Shortcut to the Public Share (Windows) Note: Mac OS X automatically displays a Public share icon on the desktop, and you can create aliases for any subshares. Select Create Shortcut on the WD Quick View submenu. An icon representing the Public share displays on the desktop.
