CYCLE GUIDE Settings and options shown in bold are default settings for that cycle. For best fabric care, choose the cycle, options, and settings that best fit the load being washed. Not all settings are available with each cycle, and some options cannot be used together. Not all cycles and options are available on all models. Cycle Details: This cycle combines medium-speed tumbling and an extra-fast-speed spin. This cycle is designed to provide the most energy efficiency. Uses a longer wash time with fast-speed tumbling, extra rinsing, and an extra-fast-speed spin to provide optimal cleaning and rinsing when bleach is used. Fast-speed tumbling and an extrafast-speed final spin help provide optimal cleaning and reduce drying times. Provides fast-speed tumbling, longer wash time, normal rinsing and an extra-fast-speed spin to shorten drying time. Uses more water to flush out allergens such as dust mites and pet dander from normally-soiled items. Extra hot wash temperature ensures sanitization. Check recommended wash temperature of your items. Model: WFW96HE † Allergen Allergen cycle certified by NSF International, an independent, third party testing and certification organization. The certification verified that this cycle reduced tested allergens by at least 95.0% and maintained the water temperature necessary to kill dust mites. Only the allergen cycle has been designed to meet the requirements of NSF Protocol P351 for Allergen Reduction Performance effectiveness. †† S anitize n This washer has a Sanitize Cycle that is certified by NSF International, an independent, third-party testing and certification organization. The certification verifies that the Sanitize Cycle eliminates 99.9% of bacteria typically found on clothing, bedding, and towels. There is no carryover of bacteria between loads after the cycle is complete. n Use the Sanitize Cycle to clean heavily soiled, colorfast fabrics. This combines an extra-high water temperature to help ensure the removal of heavy soils and stains. It is recommended that you set your hot water heater to 120°F (49°C) to ensure proper performance during this cycle. n Only the Sanitize Cycle selected has been designed to meet the requirements of NSF Protocol P172 Sanitization Performance of Residential and Commercial, family-sized clothes washer. Load Size Recommendations For best results, follow the load size recommendations noted for each cycle. Small load: Fill the washer drum with 3-4 items, not more than 1/4 full. Medium load: Fill the washer drum up to about 1/2 full. Large load: Fill the washer drum up to about 3/4 full. Extra-large load: Fill the washer drum, but make sure clothes can tumble freely. For best results, avoid packing tightly. 8
