Scan to a Mobile Device Please make sure you have enabled Direct Mode for the Eye-Fi card before proceeding with these instructions. If Direct Mode is not enabled, you will not be able to scan and transfer images wirelessly to your mobile device. Please refer to Configuring the Eye-Fi Card Settings on page 36. Note: a device can only be registered to one user account. This means that you need to decide which user account to use to access the Eye-Fi application. If you log into your account and see an "Add Device Error" it means that your mobile device has already been activated with a different Eye-Fi user account. To switch users, see Switch Mobile Device on page 45. Important: make sure WiFi access is enabled on your mobile device. iOS Mobile Devices (iPad and iPhone) Important: for the easiest and most efficient image transfer experience to your mobile device, follow the instructions in Private Wireless Network on page 36 and setup your Eye-Fi card and mobile device to use the same WAP. To scan to your mobile device you need to first install the free Eye-Fi mobile application on your device. 1. On your iPad or iPhone, access the App Store application. 2. Search for the Eye-Fi application and access its description. 3. Press the FREE button to change it to the INSTALL APP button, and touch the button. 4. Enter your App Store password at the prompt. The Eye-Fi application installs. 5. Press the Eye-Fi icon to launch the application. Configure the Eye-Fi Mobile Application for First Time Use As part of the process for configuring your mobile device for first time use it is recommended that you turn off your wireless access point. That way when you scan, the Eye-Fi card will act like a WAP and transmit the image. If you are in range of your active access point, the Eye-Fi card will transmit images using WiFi and not through Direct Mode. The instructions below indicate the appropriate step at which you should disconnect your wireless access point. 1. On your iPad or iPhone, open the application by touching the Eye-Fi icon. 2. Scan to a Mobile Device
Please make sure you have enabled Direct Mode for the Eye-Fi card before proceeding with these instructions. If
Direct Mode is not enabled, you will not be able to scan and transfer images wirelessly to your mobile device. Please
refer to
Configuring the Eye-Fi Card Settings
on page 36.
Note:
a device can only be registered to one user account. This means that you need to decide which user account
to use to access the Eye-Fi application. If you log into your account and see an “Add Device Error” it means that your
mobile device has already been activated with a different Eye-Fi user account. To switch users, see

iOS Mobile Devices (iPad and iPhone)

: for the easiest and most efficient image transfer experience to your mobile device, follow the
instructions in
Private Wireless Network
on page 36 and setup your Eye-Fi card and mobile device to use the
same
WAP.
To scan to your mobile device you need to first install the free Eye-Fi mobile application on your device.
1.
On your iPad or iPhone, access the
App Store
application.
2.
Search for the Eye-Fi application and access its description.
3.
Press the
FREE
button to change it to the

4.
Enter your
App Store
password at the prompt. The Eye-Fi application installs.
5.
Press the Eye-Fi icon to launch the application.
