INTRODUCTION PREPARATION BASIC OPERAIONT TROUBLESHOOTING Refer to the chart below when this unit does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below or if the instruction below does not help, set this unit in the standby mode, disconnect the power cord, and contact the nearest authorized YAMAHA dealer or service center. I General Problem Cause Remedy Refer to page This unit fails to turn on when STANDBY/ ON (or SYSTEM POWER) is pressed, or enters in the standby mode soon after the power has been turned on. The power cord is not connected or the plug is not completely inserted. The IMPEDANCE SELECTOR switch on the rear panel is not fully set to the left or right position. The protection circuitry has been activated. Firmly connect the power cord. Set the switch fully to the left or right position when this unit is in the standby mode. Turn up the volume.
Press MUTE or any operation buttons of this unit to
cancel a mute and adjust the volume.
