Changing brightness of the display CDC-765 You can change the brightness of the display (or turn off the illumination) by pressing the DIMMER button. During play During stopped or paused Normal illumination Normal illumination Dim DIMMER Dim "OFF" * When the display illumination is off, the AUTO DISPLAY OFF indicator on the front panel lights up. AUTO DISPLAY OFF Dim (The AUTO DISPLAY OFF indicator lights up. In this state, if a disc is played, the display illumination will be turned off.) CDC-665, CDC-565 If desired, you can change brightness of the display in three degrees by pressing the DIMMER button. DIMMER Normal illumination Slightly dim Dim CDC-765 and CDC-665 only Adjusting the level of signals output into an amplifier, etc. You can adjust the level of sound signals output from the LINE OUT terminals on the rear panel into an amplifier, etc. as you prefer by using the OUTPUT LEVEL button. - OUTPUT LEVEL + OUTPUT LEVEL or - + (On the front panel) CDC-765 and CDC-665 only When you listen with headphones Connect the headphones to the PHONES jack and adjust the volume by using the OUTPUT LEVEL button. * Note that the use of the OUTPUT LEVEL button will also vary the level of the signal output to an amplifier, etc. PHONES * When the DIGITAL AUDIO OUT (OPTICAL) terminal is used for the connection, set the level of output signals to max. * The level of output signals can be checked on the display. 12
