Speaker Balance Adjustment - av processor amplifier

Page 18 highlights

SPEAKER BALANCE ADJUSTMENT This procedure lets you adjust the sound output level balance between the main, center, and rear speakers using the built-in test tone generator. When this adjustment is performed, the sound output level heard at the listening position will be the same from each speaker. This is important for the best performance of the digital sound field processor and the Dolby Pro Logic Surround decoder. The adjustment of each speaker output level should be done at your listening position with the remote control transmitter. Otherwise, the result may not be satisfactory. Note If this unit is connected with a Dolby Digital (AC-3) Decoder and/or an amplifier (or receiver) equipped with the Dolby Pro Logic Decoder or the digital sound field processor, also make an output balance adjustment using the test tone on each unit. 2 1 NATURAL SOUND AV PROCESSOR/AMPLIFIER DSP-E492 CINEMA DSP POWER EFFECT PRESET ms dB STEREO kHz MHz 0 20 40 60 SLEEP NORMAL WIDE PHANTOM l00 EFFECT OFF MEMORY AUTO PTY HOLD INFO AFFAIRS SPORT TAPE MONITOR PRO LOGIC CONCERT MONO DISCO ROCK CONCERT PS PTY RT CT EON NEWS ENHANCED VIDEO MOVIE STADIUM CONCERT HALL PRO LOGIC ENHANCED CONCERT VIDEO MONO MOVIE STADIUM DISCO ROCK CONCERT CONCERT HALL VCR TV/DBS DVD/LD TAPE (MD) MONITOR 2CH/6CH TUNER (LINE 2) CD (LINE 1) CENTER DELAY/ MODE CENTER/REAR TIME/LEVEL VOLUME l6 20 l2 28 8 40 4 60 2 0 -dB PROCESSOR SELECTOR INTERNAL EXTERNAL 5 7 - + TIME/ LEVEL DELAY/CENTER /REAR/SWFR TEST EFFECT PROGRAM PROLOGIC ENHANCED ON/OFF VCR TV/DBS DVD/LD DIR A DIR B REC/PAUSE PLAY A/B TAPE - PRESET + A/B/C/D/E TUNER L2 DISC PLAY CD L1 4, 8 2CH/6CH VOLUME 6 1 VOLUME l6 20 l2 28 8 40 4 60 2 0 -dB Set to the "∞" position. 2 Turn on the power of this unit and the external amplifier etc. POWER 5 Select the center channel output mode suitable for your speaker configuration.
