English Getting Started Setting speaker channels You can adjust the delay times (for center and surround speakers only) and volume level for individual speakers. These adjustments let you optimize the sound of your system to best suit your surroundings and setup. IMPORTANT! Press the SURR button on the remote control to select the multi-channel surround mode before adjusting the speaker settings. 1 Press 7 to stop playback, then press SET UP. 2 Press 3 repeatedly to select [AUDIO SETUP PAGE]. 3 Press 5∞ to highlight [SPEAKER SETUP], then press 3. AUDIO SETUP PAGE [SPEAKERS VOLUME] - Volume level setting for individual speakers (-6dB ~ +6dB). SPEAKERS VOLUME SETUP FRONT LEFT 0dB FRONT RIGHT 0dB CENTER 0dB SUBWOOFER 0dB SURROUND L 0dB SURROUND R 0dB [SPEAKERS DELAY] - Delay time settings is in relation to the listening position/distance for center and surround speakers (0MS ~ 15MS). SPEAKERS DELAY SETUP CENTER SURROUND L SURROUND R 0 MS 0 MS 0 MS SPEAKER SETUP PAGE 4 Press 5∞ to select a language and press ENTER (OK) to confirm. 5 Press 5∞ to highlight one of the options below, then press 3. 6 Press 2 3 to adjust the setting that best suit your surround sound needs. 7 Press ENTER (OK) to confirm. Notes: - Use a longer delay time settings when the surround speakers are closer to the listener than the front speakers. - A test tone will be automatically generated to help you judge the sound level of each speaker. TIPS: To return to the previous menu, press 2. To clear the menu, press SET UP. 21
