AE01051 SPARK PLUG INSPECTION You should periodically remove and inspect the spark plug. 2 1. Loosen the bolt 1 and remove the side cover 2. 1 1 2. Remove the spark plug cap and the spark plug. 788-014 3. Check for discoloration and remove the carbon. Standard electrode color: Tan Color 4. Check the spark plug type and gap. Standard Spark Plug: 760-031 BPR4ES (NGK) Spark Plug Gap: 0.7-0.8 mm (0.028-0.031 in) a Gap a 760-001a 5. Install the spark plug. Spark Plug Torque: 17.5 N•m (1.75 kgf•m, 13 lbf•ft) 6. Install the spark plug cap. 7. Install the side cover and tighten the bolt. AE00431 CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT The carburetor is a vital part of the engine. SPARK PLUG INSPECTION
You should periodically remove and inspect the spark
plug.

Loosen the bolt

Remove the spark plug cap and the spark plug.
3.
Check for discoloration and remove the carbon.
4.
Check the spark plug type and gap.
