AE01051 SPARK PLUG INSPECTION You should periodically remove and inspect the spark plug. 2 1. Loosen the bolt 1 and remove the side cover 2. 1 1 2. Remove the spark plug cap and the spark plug. 788-014 3. Check for discoloration and remove the carbon. Standard electrode color: Tan Color 4. Check the spark plug type and gap. Standard Spark Plug: 760-031 BPR4ES (NGK) Spark Plug Gap: 0.7-0.8 mm (0.028-0.031 in) a Gap a 760-001a 5. Install the spark plug. Spark Plug Torque: 17.5 N•m (1.75 kgf•m, 13 lbf•ft) 6.
