Playing the Finger Drum Pads Playing the Finger Drum Pads When you hit the pad with your finger, you will hear the sounds assigned to each pad. The intensity of the sound changes according to the strength of your playing. First, try playing a basic 8-beat pattern. We recommend starting out by using your middle (second) finger to hit the upper hi-hat, your thumb to hit the lower kick, and your index (first) finger to hit the middle snare. You can play with either your left or right hand. Playing the Finger Drum Pads
