The builtin tape deck incorporates Dolby B type noise reduction system. DOLBY NR is useful for both recording and playback; be sure that the same noise reduction is used on recording and playback. Dolby noise reduction is manufactured under license from Dolby Laboratories Licensing Corporation. "DOLBY" and the double-D symbol are trademarks of Dolby Laboratories Licensing Corporation. • Do not use C-120 tapes or poor quality tapes, since they can cause malfunctions. • Before loading a tape on the tray, tighten the tape slack with a pen or pencil. • Tapes have removable tabs which prevent accidental recording or erasing from taking place. Removing the tab on the top left corner protects the side facing you from erasure. Cover the tab holes with adhesive tape to erase or record again. • The tape deck features an automatic tape selector. Just load the tape, and the type of tape being used will be sensed automatically. • The tape deck can play back metal tapes as well as normal or high position tapes; however, recording cannot be done on metal tapes with good sound quality. About the tape counter The tape deck is equipped with a tape counter that is useful for searching and locating a desired point on the tape. The tape counter is shown on the display. Pressing (stop) when the deck is being stopped will reset the tape counter to "0000". 100 350 1K 3.5K 10K MUSIC PROGRAM PRO LOGIC HALL 3 STEREO YMERSION TUNER CD MD TAPE RANDOM EDIT S F REP A B PROG VOLUME E-20
