CONNECTIONS ■ Connecting to an external amplifier If you want to increase the power output to the speakers, or want to use another amplifier, connect an external amplifier to the PRE OUT jacks as follows. Notes • When audio pin plugs are connected to the PRE OUT jacks for output to an external amplifier, do not make connections to the corresponding SPEAKERS terminals. Notes • Each PRE OUT jack outputs the same channel signals as the corresponding speaker terminals. • Adjust the volume level of the subwoofer with the control on the subwoofer. It is also possible to adjust the volume level using the remote control (see "Manually adjusting speaker levels" on page 49). • Some signals may not be output from the SUB WOOFER PRE OUT jack depending on the SPEAKER SET (see page 53) and LFE/BASS OUT (see page 54) settings. 20

Connecting to an external amplifier
If you want to increase the power output to the speakers,
or want to use another amplifier, connect an external
amplifier to the PRE OUT jacks as follows.
When audio pin plugs are connected to the PRE OUT jacks for
output to an external amplifier, do not make connections to the
corresponding SPEAKERS terminals. Set the volume of the
amplifier connected to this unit to the maximum.
The signals output through the FRONT PRE OUT and
CENTER PRE OUT jacks are affected by the TONE
CONTROL settings.
If SPEAKERS A is turned off and SP B is set to ZONE B (see
page 59), signals will only be output from the FRONT PRE
OUT jacks.
