XM Satellite Radio tuning Setting XM Satellite Radio preset channels You can use this feature to store up to 40 XM Satellite Radio channels (A1 to E8: 8 preset channel numbers in each of the 5 preset channel groups). You can then recall any preset channel easily by selecting the preset channel group and number as described in "Preset Search mode" on page 39. 1 Search for a channel you want to set as a preset channel by using one of the XM Satellite Radio search modes. See "Basic XM Satellite Radio operations" on page 38 for details. 2 Press 6MEMORY (or HXM MEMORY). The MEMORY indicator flashes in the front panel display for approximately 10 seconds. Note You must proceed to and carry out steps 3 through 5 while the MEMORY indicator is flashing in the front panel display. 3 Press 4CATEGORY (or GA-E/CAT. l / h) repeatedly to select a preset channel group (A to E) while the MEMORY indicator is flashing. The preset channel group letter appears in the front panel display. Flashes 4 Press 5PRESET/TUNING/CH l / h (or GPRESET/CH k / n) repeatedly to select a preset channel number (1 to 8) while the MEMORY indicator is flashing. The preset channel number appears in the front panel display.
