Turning on the Power / Setting to Standby 1. Press the [1] (Standby/On) button to turn the power on. 1. Power on [VAR] lamp The [VAR] lamp is lit in red when the power is on. Adjust the volume as desired while playing the keyboard. Adjust the volume If the overall volume is low, or no sound is heard, please confirm "Troubleshooting" on page 31. CAUTION Do not use the instrument or headphones for a long period of time at a high or uncomfortable volume level, since this can cause permanent hearing loss. NOTICE While turning on the power, do not attempt any other operations, such as pressing the keys. Doing so may cause the instrument to malfunction. 2. Press and hold the [1] (Standby/On) button for longer than one second to enable standby mode. CAUTION Even when in standby mode, electric current is still flowing to the instrument at the minimum level.
