AE00971 SPARK PLUG INSPECTION You should periodically remove and inspect the spark plug. 1. Check for discoloration and remove the carbon. Standard electrode color: 760-011 Tan Color 2. Check the spark plug type and gap. Standard Spark Plug: BPR4ES (NGK) a Spark Plug Gap: 760-001a 0.7-0.8 mm (0.028-0.031 in) a Gap 3. Install the spark plug. Spark Plug Torque: 20 N•m (2 kgf•m, 14 lbf•ft) AE00431 CARBURETOR ADJUSTMENT The carburetor is a vital part of the engine.
