YHT-30 QUICK- CON N ECT GUIDE LOCATIONS OF VCR LEARNING BUTTONS RECORD/ PAUSE PLAY REWIND STOP CLEAR LEARN MACRO TRANSMIT ⁄LEARN REC⁄ PAUSE A⁄B TAPE CD TUNER A DIR B STOP DISC VCR DVD⁄LD T V⁄ DBS FAST FORWARD Slide Memory Switch To B HOW TO PROGRAM VCR REMOTE FUNCTIONS To program basic functions of the VCR remote, we suggest you learn functions into all the shaded buttons shown in the illustration on the left: 1. On the RAV120, slide the MEMORY switch to position B. 2. Aim the VCR remote control transmitter (usually located at the top) at the top of the RAV120. On the RAV120, use a paper clip or mechanical pencil to press LEARN. The TRANSMIT/LEARN red LED will start to flash. NOTE: If there is no operation for about 30 seconds after a button is pressed, the TRANSMIT/LEARN LED will flash repeatedly. If this occurs, restart from step 3. 4. On the RAV120, press and hold the button to which you want to assign the function until the TRANSMIT/LEARN LED turns on. 5. On the VCR remote, press and hold the button for the corresponding function until the TRANSMIT/ LEARN LED turns off. NOTE: If a VCR remote function has two buttons and the RAV120 has one, then press both VCR remote buttons simultaneously to learn the function into the RAV120. 6. The RAV120's TRANSMIT/LEARN red LED will flash slowly after the function is learned. NOTE: If the RAV120's TRANSMIT/LEARN red LED flashes rapidly, the function has not been learned. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to program the function. 7. Continue programming until you have learned functions into all of the shaded buttons. 8. Press LEARN. 9. To test programming, press VCR (power) to turn on the VCR. Then press each button you've programmed. Repeat steps 1 through 8 for any function that does not respond. 9
