TROUBLESHOOTING If the unit fails to operate normally, check the following points to determine whether the fault can be corrected by the simple measures suggested. If it cannot be corrected, or if the fault is not listed in the SYMPTOM column, disconnect the power cord and contact your authorized YAMAHA dealer or service center for help. SYMPTOM Power is not supplied even though the POWER switch is ON. No sound . Sound level is too low. CAUSE The power plug is not securely connected. The VOLUME control is set to 0. Speaker cables are not connected securely. Speaker cables are connected incorrectly. A source sound with few bass frequencies is played. It is influenced by standing waves. REMEDY Connect it securely. Turn the VOLUME control to right. Connect them securely. Connect them correctly, that is to say L (left) to L, R (right) to R, "+" to "+" and "-" to "-". Play a source sound with bass frequencies. Set the HIGH CUT control to a higher position. (Turn the knob to right.) Re-position the subwoofer or break up the parallel surface by placing bookshelves etc. along the walls. SYMPTOM
Power is not supplied even though the
POWER switch is ON.
No sound .
Sound level is too low.
CAUSE
The power plug is not securely connected.
The VOLUME control is set to 0.
Speaker cables are not connected securely.
Speaker cables are connected incorrectly.
A source sound with few bass frequencies is
played.
It is influenced by standing waves.
REMEDY
Connect it securely.
Turn the VOLUME control to right.
Connect them securely.
Connect them correctly, that is to say L (left)
to L, R (right) to R, “+” to “+” and “–” to “–”.
Play a source sound with bass frequencies.
Set the HIGH CUT control to a higher
position. (Turn the knob to right.)
