Daytime Running Lamps (Canada Only) Daytime Running Lamps(DRL) can make it easier for others to see the frontof your vehicle during theday. DRL can be helpful in many different driving conditions, butthey can be especially helpful in the short periods after dawn and before sunset. A light sensor on top the instrument panel of makes the DRLwork, so be sure it isn't covered. The DRLsystem will make your low beam headlamps come at on reduced brightnesswhen: 0 0 0 the ignition is on, the headlamp switch is off, and the transaxle is not in PARK (P). When it's dark enough outside,your low beam headlamps will change to full brightness. Whenit's bright enough outside, the regular lamps go will off and your low beam headlamps change to the reduced brightness of DRL. To idle your vehicle with the DRLoff shift the transaxle into PARK (P). The DRL will stay off until you shift out of PARK (P). As with anyvehicle, you should turnon the regular headlampsystem when you need it. 2-53
