2. If it doesn't start right away, hold your key in START for about three seconds at a time until your engine starts.Wait about 15 seconds between each try to helpavoid draining your battery. Your left headlamp and taillamp may be onas you start your left engine, but theright headlamp and taillamp won't. This provides some light as you start but doesn't drain your battery as much. 3. If your engine still won't start (or starts but then stops),could be it flooded with too much gasoline. Try pushing your accelerator pedal all the way to thefloor and holding it there as you hold the key in START for about threeseconds. If the vehicle starts briefly but then stops again, do the same thing. NOTICE: Your engine is designed work with the electronics in your to vehicle. If you add electrical parts accessories, you could or change theway the fuel injection system operates. Before adding electrical equipment, check with your dealer. D m N G THROUGH DEEP STANDING WATER NOTICE: If you drive too quickly through deep puddles or standing water, water cancome in through your engine's air intake and badly damage yourengine. Never drive through water that is slightly lower than the underbody your vehicle. If you can't avoid of deep puddlesor standing water, drive through them very slowly. 2-21
