If the light comes on while you are driving, pull off the road and stop carefully. You may notice that the pedalis harder topush. Or, the pedal may go closerto the floor. It may take longer to stop. the light is still on, If have the vehicle towed for service. (See "Towing Your Vehicle'' the in Index.) A CAUTION: Your brake systemmay not be working properlyif the brake system warning lightis on. Driving with the brake system warning light on can lead to an accident. the light is still on If after you've pulled off the roadand stopped carefully, have the vehicle towed for service. The brake system warning light will also come on when you set your parking brake, andit will stay o n if your parking brake doesn't release fully. If it stays on afteryour parking brakeis fully released, it means you have a brake problem. 2-76
