Spare Tire Location The spare tire for your Bronco is mounted inside on a carrier at the right rear quarter panel unless you have an optional outside mounted spare tire. To remove the spare tire, remove the wing nut and plate. If so equipped, use a door key to unlock the lock assembly and remove the plate. To stow the spare tire, place the wheel on the bolt and tighten the plate and wing nut, or lock assembly, if so equipped. Inside spare tire assembly Spare tire mount The optional outside mounted spare tire is mounted on a swing-away carrier that hinges on the outside right rear corner of the truck. 242
