Wheels and Tires 327 Stowing the Flat/Spare Tire and Jack Note: If you are stowing a flat 22 inch tire and wheel assembly, temporarily remove the load floor, plastic stowage bins, and the foam load floor supports to make space. Place the 22 inch tire and wheel assembly in the spare tire well with the valve stem facing down. Rotate the tire until the jack assembly is able to protrude through a wheel opening. Replace the plastic stowage bins and foam load floor supports around the 22 inch tire and wheel assembly. Note: If you are stowing a flat tire, place the tire in the spare tire well with the valve stem facing down. Rotate the tire until the jack assembly is able to protrude through a wheel opening. Note: If you are stowing the spare tire, place the spare in the spare tire well in its original position. 1. Put the flat tire, jack and lug wrench away. Make sure the jack kit is secured in its original location and orientation in the jack kit recess under the flat or spare tire. Unblock the wheels. 2. Secure the wheel by replacing the washer and the wing nut and turning the wing nut clockwise. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Wheel Lug Nut Torque Specifications WARNING: When a wheel is installed, always remove any corrosion, dirt or foreign materials present on the mounting surfaces of the wheel or the surface of the wheel hub, brake drum or brake disc that contacts the wheel. Make sure that any fasteners that attach the rotor to the hub are secured so they do not interfere with the mounting surfaces of the wheel.
