Parameters Fragment Threshold RTS Threshold Beacon Interval DTIM Period Data Rate N Data Rate Channel Width Preamble Type Description "Fragment Threshold" specifies the maximum size of packet during the fragmentation of data to be transmitted. The default value is 2346. When the packet size is smaller than the RTS threshold, the wireless router will not use the RTS/CTS mechanism to send this packet. Do not modify default value if you don't know what it is, default value is 3. Set the wireless data transfer rate to a certain value. Since most of wireless devices will negotiate with each other and pick a proper data transfer rate automatically, it's not necessary to change this value unless you know what will happen after modification. Same as above, but only for 802.11n clients. Set channel width of wireless radio. Do not modify default value if you don't know what it is, default setting is 'Auto 20/40 MHz'. The "Long Preamble" can provide better wireless LAN compatibility while the "Short Preamble" can provide better wireless LAN performance. 43

Parameters
Description
Fragment Threshold
“Fragment Threshold” specifies the maximum size of packet
during the fragmentation of data to be transmitted. The default
value is 2346.
RTS Threshold
When the packet size is smaller than the RTS threshold, the
wireless router will not use the RTS/CTS mechanism to send this
packet.
Beacon Interval
The interval of time that this wireless router broadcast a beacon.
Beacon is used to synchronize the wireless network.
DTIM Period
Set the DTIM period of wireless radio. Do not modify default
value if you don’t know what it is, default value is 3.
Data Rate
Set the wireless data transfer rate to a certain value. Since most
of wireless devices will negotiate with each other and pick a
proper data transfer rate automatically, it’s not necessary to
change this value unless you know what will happen after
modification.
N Data Rate
Same as above, but only for 802.11n clients.
Channel Width
Set channel width of wireless radio. Do not modify default value
if you don’t know what it is, default setting is ‘Auto 20/40 MHz’.
Preamble Type
The “Long Preamble” can provide better wireless LAN
compatibility while the “Short Preamble” can provide better
wireless LAN performance.
