by defining a DMZ Host. The DMZ function allows you to re-direct all packets going to your WAN port IP address to a particular IP address in your LAN. Parameters Enable DMZ DMZ Host IP Address Description Enable/disable DMZ. Input the IP address of a particular host in your LAN that will receive all the packets originally going to the WAN port/Public IP address above Note: You need to give your LAN PC clients a fixed/static IP address for DMZ to work properly. Click at the bottom of the screen to save the above configurations. You can now configure other advance sections or start using the router (with the advance settings in place) 3.3.4 QoS Quality of service provides an efficient way for computers on the network to share the internet bandwidth with a promised quality of internet service. Without QoS, all computers and devices on the network will compete with each other to get internet bandwidth, and some applications which require guaranteed bandwidth (like video streaming and network telephone) will be affected, therefore an unpleasing result will occur, like the interruption of video / audio transfer. With this function, you can limit the maximum bandwidth or give a guaranteed bandwidth for a specific computer, to avoid said unpleasing result from happening. 67
