4 Click the Advanced Options disclosure triangle and set the following parameters, as required: • Adjust Value By sliders: Define a ratio (multiplier and divisor) for the selected detection result. A ratio of 2:1 multiplies the value by two, while a ratio of 1:2 divides the value by two. • Rounding pop-up menu: Choose one of the following rounding values: Integer, 1 Decimal, 2 Decimals, 3 Decimals, or Off. This value is used to modify the Resulting Tempo value. 5 Click the Prelisten button to preview playback using the Resulting Tempo value. 6 Click OK to perform the tempo adjustment (according to the above settings), or Cancel to cancel the procedure. Importing, Removing, and Exporting Tempo Information When you record or bounce an audio file, the current Tempo List is added to the file. You can then use the saved tempo information for importing or exporting purposes. In some situations, you may want to import tempo information from an audio file that was recorded in a different project. The tempo of the selected audio file is used in place of the project tempo, but only within the borders (start and end points) of that file in the Arrange area. To import tempo information from an audio file µ Choose Options > Tempo > Import Tempo Information from Audio File in the main menu bar. You can also export the current tempo value within the borders (start and end points) of a selected audio file in the Arrange area. Click the Advanced Options disclosure triangle and set the following parameters, as

required:

Adjust Value By sliders:

Define a ratio (multiplier and divisor) for the selected detection

result. A ratio of 2:1 multiplies the value by two, while a ratio of 1:2 divides the value

by two.

Rounding pop-up menu:

Choose one of the following rounding values:

Integer, 1

Decimal, 2 Decimals, 3 Decimals, or Off. This value is used to modify the Resulting

Tempo value.

Click the Prelisten button to preview playback using the Resulting Tempo value.

Click OK to perform the tempo adjustment (according to the above settings), or Cancel

to cancel the procedure.

Importing, Removing, and Exporting Tempo Information

When you record or bounce an audio file, the current Tempo List is added to the file. You

can then use the saved tempo information for importing or exporting purposes.

In some situations, you may want to import tempo information from an audio file that

was recorded in a different project. The tempo of the selected audio file is used in place

of the project tempo, but only within the borders (start and end points) of that file in the

Arrange area.

To import tempo information from an audio file

Choose Options > Tempo > Import Tempo Information from Audio File in the main menu

bar.

You can also export the current tempo value within the borders (start and end points) of

a selected audio file in the Arrange area. However, you should first remove any tempo

information that exists in the audio file.
