Chapter 3 - Software Configuration 3.3 Firmware Restoration The Firmware Restoration utility is an emergency rescue tool that can automatically searches for an ASUS 802.11g AP that has failed during a firmware upload, and re-upload a firmware that you specify. A failed firmware upgrade will cause the ASUS 802.11g AP to enter a failure mode, waiting for the Firmware Restoration utility to find and upload a new firmware. The process takes about three to four minutes. Note: This is not a firmware upgrade utility and cannot be used on a working ASUS 802.11g AP . Normal firmware upgrades must be done through the web manager. Launch the Firmware Restoration utility from the Windows Start menu. 3. Software WLAN Utilities Using a Hub If you have problems uploading a firmware while using a network hub, try connecting your computer directly to the LAN port. Firmware Restoration
The Firmware Restoration utility is an emergency rescue tool that can
automatically searches for an ASUS 802.11g AP that has failed during a
firmware upload, and re-upload a firmware that you specify. A failed firmware
upgrade will cause the ASUS 802.11g AP to enter a failure mode, waiting
for the Firmware Restoration utility to find and upload a new firmware. The
process takes about three to four minutes.
Note: This is not a firmware upgrade utility and cannot be used on a

Using a Hub
If you have problems uploading a firmware while using a network hub,
