APPENDIX Attaching the Embroidery Foot This section describes how to attach the embroidery foot "Q". Attaching the embroidery foot If you need to replace the embroidery foot, attach the embroidery foot "Q" as follows. Turn off the machine. b a b a Embroidery foot bar b Caught by the presser foot holder screw CAUTION ● Always use the embroidery foot "Q" when embroidering. If the wrong embroidery foot is used, the needle may hit the embroidery foot and bend or break. Press (Needle position button) once or a twice to raise the needle. a CAUTION z Before attaching the embroidery foot, be sure to turn off the machine. Otherwise, injuries may occur if one of the operation buttons is accidentally pressed and the machine starts embroidering. Hold the embroidery foot with your index finger wrapped around the lever at the back of the foot. a Needle position button a Note z The needle is correctly raised when the mark on the handwheel is at the top. Attaching the embroidery foot
If you need to replace the embroidery foot, attach the
embroidery foot "Q" as follows.

The needle is correctly raised when the mark
on the handwheel is at the top. Check the
handwheel mark is at the top position.

Hold the embroidery foot with your index
finger wrapped around the lever at the back of
the foot.
