3 File Numbering Methods The file number is like the frame number on a roll of film. It can start counting in one of three different ways: [A-Reset], [Continuous], and [M-Reset]. The images you take are automatically assigned a file number from 0001 to 9999. The images are saved in the selected folder. 1 Select [File numbering]. Select the tab. Hold down the button and turn the dial to select [File numbering]. Then let go of the button. 2 Select the desired setting. Hold down the button and turn the dial to select the desired setting. Then let go of the button. Auto Reset (A-Reset) Each time you replace the memory card, the file numbering will be reset to the first file number (XXXX0001). Since the file number starts from 0001 in each memory card, you can organize images according to memory cards.
