Taking Shots from Your Computer You can control the camera from your computer and take single-frame shots, timer shots and interval timer shots. The images are automatically saved on your computer. Shots taken with RemoteCapture and saved on your computer can be displayed and imageprocessed in the Plug-In Module in the same way as images shot with the camera. Refer to the Help file for more information on using RemoteCapture. Using RemoteCapture 1 Set the camera up ready to shoot. ● Focus the camera manually (Manual focus). 2 Click the [Release] button. \ The image is saved to your computer and displayed on the screen. ● To enlarge the image for checking, select the image and click the [View] button. \ The image is displayed enlarged in a separate window. ● To delete the image, select the image and click the [Delete] button. \ The image is deleted. ● Because RAW images are processed before being displayed, there is a short delay before the images appear. ● When you select an EOS-1D RAW image and click the [View] button, or when you select [Display in Viewer] in the [View] menu, the JPEG image (Middle/Fine) simultaneously recorded with the RAW image is displayed. ● To load an image rotated, select [90 degrees Right] or [90 degrees Left] in [Rotation] list box before clicking the [Release] button. ● To rotate a downloaded image, select the image and then select [Rotate Saved Image 90 degrees Right] or [Rotate Saved Image 90 degrees Left] in the [Edit] menu. 6-4

Taking Shots from Your Computer
You can control the camera from your computer and take single-frame shots, timer shots and
interval timer shots. The images are automatically saved on your computer.
Shots taken with RemoteCapture and saved on your computer can be displayed and image-
processed in the Plug-In Module in the same way as images shot with the camera.
Refer to the Help file for more information on using RemoteCapture.
Using RemoteCapture

Set the camera up ready to shoot.
Focus the camera manually (Manual focus).

Click the [Release] button.

The image is saved to your computer and displayed on the screen.
Because RAW images are processed before being displayed, there is a short delay
before the images appear.
When you select an EOS-1D RAW image and click the [View] button, or when you
select [Display in Viewer] in the [View] menu, the JPEG image (Middle/Fine)
simultaneously recorded with the RAW image is displayed.
To load an image rotated, select [90 degrees Right] or [90 degrees Left] in
[Rotation] list box before clicking the [Release] button.
To rotate a downloaded image, select the image and then select [Rotate Saved Image
90 degrees Right] or [Rotate Saved Image 90 degrees Left] in the [Edit] menu.
To enlarge the image for checking, select the image and click the [View] button.

The image is displayed enlarged in a separate window.
To delete the image, select the image and click the [Delete] button.

The image is deleted.
