Starting the Plug-In Module The Plug-In Module software starts from a Plug-In Module-compatible application (such as Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE). The descriptions given here use the bundled Photoshop 5.0 LE software as an example. If you are using Plug-In Module-compatible application other than Photoshop 5.0 LE, refer to the User's Manuals provided with your software for information on setting up and using Plug-In Module devices. 1 Start Photoshop 5.0 LE. ● Open the [Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE] folder in the location specified during installation and double-click the [Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE] icon inside the folder to start the application. \ Photoshop 5.0 LE starts up. 2 Select [File] menu s [Import] s [Canon Camera Plug-In 4]. \ The Plug-In Module starts up. \ The [Communication Settings] dialog box appears. ● If the [Communication Settings] dialog box does not appear, click the [Communication Setup] button. 3 Confirm that [IEEE1394Port] is selected in the [Port] list box and that [EOS-1D] is selected in the [Detected Camera] list box, then click the [Set] button. \ The main window opens. In the main window, you can display and process the images saved on the CF card in the camera. ● To close the Plug-In Module, click the [Exit] button in the main window. 3-2

Start Photoshop 5.0 LE.
Open the [Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE] folder in the location specified during
installation and double-click the [Adobe Photoshop 5.0 LE] icon inside the folder to
start the application.

Photoshop 5.0 LE starts up.

The Plug-In Module starts up.

The [Communication Settings]
dialog box appears.
If the [Communication Settings]
dialog box does not appear, click
the [Communication Setup] button.

Confirm that [IEEE1394Port] is selected in the [Port] list box and
that [EOS-1D] is selected in the [Detected Camera] list box, then
click the [Set] button.

The main window opens. In the
main window, you can display and
process the images saved on the
CF card in the camera.
To close the Plug-In Module, click
the [Exit] button in the main
window.
