7. Deleting item record You can use Item Delete key to delete any item record from the PLU-DEPT-PGM screen. Note that the item descriptor can not be restored after deleting item record but all other all data programmed against that item such name, price, colour, picture etc. can be restored. A prompt message "Do you want to clear data?" appears on-screen whenever you attempt to delete an item, you must press YES to confirm deletion or NO to cancel deletion. Follow the example below to delete all programmed data against "BECKS" (In order to avoid loss of sales data i.e. totalizer, it is advisable to take a z-report before deleting any item.)
