A WARNING: Do not allow familiarity with tools to make you careless. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict serious injury. A WARNING: Do not use any attachments or acces- sories not recommended by the manufacturer of this tool. The use of attachments or accessories not recommended can result in serious personal injury. APPLICATIONS You may use this tool for the purposes listed below: [] Cutting all types of wood products (lumber, plywood, paneling) [] Cross Cutting/Rip Cutting [] Bevel Cutting [] Pocket Cutting This product will accept DieHarde_ 19.2 V lithium-ion battery packs and Craftsman 19.2 V nickel-cadmium battery packs. For complete charging instructions, refer to the Operator's Manual for the battery packs and chargers listed in the General Safety Rules. BATTERY PROTECTION FEATURES DieHardo 19.2 V lithium-ion battery packs are designed with features that protect the lithium-ion cells and maximize battery life. If the tool stops during use, release the trigger to reset and resume operation. If the tool still does not work, the battery needs to be recharged. TO INSTALL BATTERY PACK See Figure 4. [] Place the battery pack in the saw. Align the raised rib on the battery pack with the groove inside the saw, then slide the battery pack into the saw. [] Make sure the latches on each side of the battery pack snap into place and the battery pack is secured in the saw before beginning operation. DEPRESSLATCHESTO RELEASEBATTERYPACK ® BATTERYPACK LATCHES Fig. 4 CAUTION: When placing battery pack in the tool, be sure raised rib on battery pack aligns with the back of the saw and latches into place properly. Improper installation of the battery pack can cause damage to internal components. A WARNING: Always remove battery pack from your tool when you are assembling parts, making adjustments, cleaning, or when not in use. Removing battery pack will prevent accidental starting that could cause serious personal injury. TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK See Figure 4. [] Locate the latches on side of battery pack and depress to release the battery pack from the saw. [] Remove the battery pack. 12
