5 Remove any full-length expansion cards. If you do not have any expansion cards installed, skip to step 6. a Unfasten and remove the expansion-card latch. Remove any full-length expansion cards. If you do not have any expansion cards
installed, skip to step 6.

Unfasten and remove the expansion-card latch. See Figure 1-2.

Disconnect any cables attached to the card.

Grasp the expansion card by its edges, and remove it from the expansion-card
connector on the system board.
