Getting Started Connections Playback Basic Operations Memo Function Utility Specifications A/B Trim The positions of the seamless loop A and B points can be fine-adjusted with the Scratch disc. The points can be fine-adjusted while listening to the loop play sound. 1 u During seamless looping, press the A/B TRIM button to turn on the adjustment mode. b During playback in modes other than looping, the next file mode is set when the A/B TRIM button is pressed. 2 i Press the A1 or A2 buttons to select the A point. b Adjustment is possible for the currently playing loop. b Press the B button to select the B point. 3 Turn the Scratch disc to adjust the A or B point. The position can be adjusted in units of frames. A Point: ±30 frames from the A point. If there is a B point, however, adjustment is only possible up to 5 frames before the B point. B Point: Adjustment is possible from 5 frames after the A point through the end of the track. 4 Press the A1 button to set the A point. When set, the A/B TRIM mode is exited automatically. Auto BPM Counter The BPM for the currently playing track or the track at which the cue standby mode is set is measured automatically and displayed. • W hen the auto BPM counter is off, press the TAP button for over 1 second to turn the auto BPM counter on. • W hen the auto BPM counter is off, it turns on when the track changes. NOTE If the MP3 or WAV file includes BPM information in the memo data, this value is displayed as the initial value. The AUTO/TAP/MANUAL value can be ignored as this information is more detailed. NOTE It may not be possible to automatically measure the BPM accurately for some tracks. In this case, perform the "TAPPING" or "MANUAL INPUT" procedure. 1 BPM LOCK The data measured with the auto BPM function is locked. o When the auto BPM counter is on, press the TAP button and release it immediately. "BPM LOCK" is displayed for about 1 second. 2 TAPPING The BPM is measured according to the interval between repeated pressings of the TAP button. When the TAP button is pressed, the auto BPM counter turns off. The "Manual iIn" is displayed. Q0 Press the TAP button repeatedly 5 ~ 10 times to the beat of the music. 3 MANUAL INPUT Q1 Press and hold in the TAP button for over 2 seconds. The BPM can now be input manually. Q2 Turn the PARAMETERS knob and input the BPM value. b Turn the PARAMETERS knob while pressing it to input values below the decimal point. b When the TAP button is pressed again, the value you have input is set and the BPM value is locked. 18
