Function Setup Ⅵ Audio Audio BD Audio Mode HDMI Audio Out DRC Virtual Surround Mix Audio Output HDMI Multi (Normal) Off Off • For how to select the setting items and options, refer to the "Custom" on page 27. Setting items BD Audio Mode For BD, select whether to output the secondary and interactive audio with primary audio if it is available (audio will be output in a multi LPCM format.) or only the primary audio (audio will be output in bitstream.). Options Mix Audio Output*: Output the secondary and interactive audio with primary audio if it is available (audio will be output in a multi LPCM format.). HD Audio Output: Output only the primary audio (audio will be output in bitstream.). HDMI Audio Out Sets the audio format for the audio output from the HDMI OUT. HDMI Multi(Normal)*: The multi-channel audio signals are output from the HDMI OUT with a bitstream or LPCM. HDMI Multi(LPCM): The multi-channel audio signals are output from the HDMI OUT with a LPCM. • Refer to page 11 for setting options. HDMI 2ch: The audio signals are output from the HDMI OUT with a downmixed to 2-channels. DRC On Sets whether to compress the range of sound volume (Dynamic Off* Range Control) when Dolby Digital audio is played back. ENGLISH Function Setup Setting items Options Virtual Surround Sets to create a surround effect in a system with 2 speakers connected. Off*: Virtual surround is set to off. 1 : A natural surround effect in a system with 2 speakers connected. 2 : A stronger surround effect in a system with 2 speakers connected than "1". • Settings with (*) are the default. • Quick menu consists of the setting menus frequently used, and they are accompanied with mark. • The default of the "BD Audio Mode" is "Mix Audio Output". If you want to output only the high quality primary audio, set "BD Audio Mode" to "HD Audio Output". 30 ENGLISH
