3 Printing on a Macintosh When you print from your Macintosh, your EPSON Stylus Photo 785EPX works like any other printer. You can edit and enhance your photos, create photo greeting cards or calendars, and then print them out. Before you start, make sure your printer software is installed, as described on the Start Here sheet. When you insert a memory card in your printer, you can have all the photos automatically copied to your computer. See page 11 for more information. When you remove a memory card, make sure you follow the instructions on page 12. No matter what you print, you need to remember two things: s Use the right paper. s Choose the right printer settings. For the best-looking photos, most vivid colors, and sharpest text, always use EPSON ink jet papers. Your printer automatically adjusts itself for each type of paper. That's why printer settings are important. They tell your printer what kind of paper you're using. So remember to check your printer settings every time you print. It's easy to do-just follow the instructions in these sections: s Loading Paper on page 52 s Basic Printing on page 54 s Customizing Your Print Settings on page 56 s Selecting the Correct Media Type on page 57 s Printing Borderless Photos on page 58 51
