■ Temporary error Indication U0 U1 U9 Description Shipping lock error occurred. A paper feed error occurred. ADF error. The following shows the procedure for releasing of each temporary error. • "U0" error Confirm that the shipping lock is released. Refer to "2.2 Installing the Scanner" (page 9) • "U1" error 1. Remove jammed documents. (Refer to fi-5015C Operator's Guide "3.1 How to clear the paper jam" on the Setup CD-ROM.) 2. Confirm that the documents meet the paper conditions for scanning. (Refer to fi-5015C Operator's Guide "2.2.1 Checking document condition" on the Setup CD-ROM.) • "U9" error Turn off the scanner power. Confirm / Connect the ADF cable, then turn on the scanner power. * Be sure of switching off the main switch, in case you make any operation with ADF cable. ■ Device alarm (Permanent error) Indication E0 E2 E7 Eb Ec Ed Description Flatbed motor malfunction. Trouble in the optical system. Trouble occurred in the internal memory (EEPROM). An LSI error. An error in the memory. An error with USB When you encounter any alarm, turn off and on the scanner.
