When processing raw meat do not process more than 8-ounces at one time. When using the slicing/shredding disc, cut food to fit in the food chute and apply even and steady pressure with the food pusher. This will result in more uniformly processed food. When using the slicing/shredding disc the bowl has a 6-cup capacity. HOW TO DISASSEMBLE AND CLEAN 1. Turn unit off and unplug cord from outlet. 2. To remove cover, turn counter-clockwise. 3. Carefully remove slicing/shredding disc and shaft or Sblade. Blade and disc are sharp. Handle carefully. 4. Remove bowl by grasping handle and turning counterclockwise to unlock. Lift straight up to remove from base. 5. The cover, food pusher and bowl may be washed in the top shelf of an automatic dishwasher. 6. The blade, slicing/shredding disc, and disc shaft should be washed by hand. Blade and disc are sharp, handle carefully. 7. After washing and drying thoroughly, reassemble processor for storage. SAFETY NOTE This appliance is equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug. This type of plug has one prong wider than the other. The plug will fit into an electrical outlet only one way. This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized plug.
