Removing Simple SAN Connection Manager in Linux Follow these steps to remove the Simple SAN Connection ManagerSimple SAN Connection Manager software on a server running Linux. CAUTION: If the system is booted from your SAN using the QLogic FC HBA driver, use the Linux uninstallation option cautiously. Your QLogic FC HBA drivers will also be removed from the system, thus making it un-bootable because the drivers are removed from the Linux initial RAM disk (initrd), the temporary file system used by the Linux kernel during boot. To remove the components required by Simple SAN Connection Manager on Linux: 1. Insert the installation CD into the CD-ROM drive of the server. The installation CD should mount automatically in one of the following locations: /media/cdrom/ /mnt/cdrom/ /media/cdrecorder/ If the installation CD is not mounted automatically, then issue the following commands to mount the CD: # mkdir -p /mnt/cdrom # mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom 2. Change directory to the linux directory. For example, if the installation CD is mounted in /mnt/cdrom, issue the following command: # cd /mnt/cdrom/HP_SSCM/linux/ 3. Follow these steps to remove the Simple SAN Connection ManagerSimple SAN Connection Manager
