RTC battery Description RTC battery Spare part number 686274-001 Before removing the RTC battery, follow these steps: 1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer. 3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer. 4. Remove the battery (see Battery on page 35). 5. Remove the memory module/wireless module compartment cover (see Memory module on page 36). 6. Remove the hard drive compartment cover (see Hard drive on page 45). Remove the RTC battery: 1. Before removing the RTC battery, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn

3.
Disconnect all external devices from the computer.

Remove the RTC battery:
1.
