Camera module Description Camera module (includes flex cable) Spare part number 494030-001 Before removing the camera module, follow these steps: 1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system. 2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer. 3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer. 4. Remove the following components: a. Battery (see Battery on page 41) b. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 54) c. Switch cover (see Switch cover on page 58) d. Display (see Display assembly on page 69) Remove the camera module: 1. Loosen the tape (1) that secures the camera cable to the display enclosure. 2. Disconnect the camera flex cable from the camera board (2). 3. Use a flat-bladed screwdriver to loosen the camera module from the clips in the display enclosure, and then pull the module and cable through the opening near the top of the enclosure (3). Before removing the camera module, follow these steps:
1.
Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the
computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2.
Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3.
Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and
then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4.
Remove the following components:

Remove the camera module:
1.
Loosen the tape
(1)
that secures the camera cable to the display enclosure.
2.
Disconnect the camera flex cable from the camera board

3.

and then pull the module and cable through the opening near the top of the enclosure
