Select "Manage Custom Services..." Here we are going to define a couple of services to exempt. The first is LDAPS over TCP which goes to remote port 636. LDAPS already uses SSL/TLS so it doesn't need IPsec to provide it protection. We choose "TCP", "Remote Service", and use a specific Remote Port of 636. Then click "Add" NOTE: Before adding custom services, be sure to check if the service is already present to save you some work. As an example, LDAPS is already pre-defined on certain platforms. However, it is useful to go through the process of adding a custom service in this whitepaper in case such a need arises. 55

“Manage
Custom
Services…”
Here we are
going to
define a
couple of
services to
exempt.
The
first is LDAPS
over TCP
which goes to
remote port
636.
LDAPS
already uses
SSL/TLS so it
doesn’t need
IPsec to
provide it
protection.
We choose
“TCP”,
“Remote
Service”, and
use a specific
Remote Port of
636.
Then
click “Add”
NOTE: Before adding custom services, be sure to check if the service is already present to save you
some work.
As an example, LDAPS is already pre-defined on certain platforms. However, it is useful
to go through the process of adding a custom service in this whitepaper in case such a need arises.
