3 Support and troubleshooting If your monitor is not working as expected, you might be able to resolve the issue by following the instructions in this section. Using the self-test function To help verify the correct operation of this monitor, a series of startup images and messages is displayed. These images and messages function as a self-test. Use the following procedure to start the self-test. 1. Turn off the monitor and disconnect all of the cables except the power cord. 2. Turn on the monitor. An image like the one shown here is displayed. A monitor status message appears next. The power-on image and monitor status message indicates that the monitor is working as expected and is looking for a valid video signal. 3. Connect a video source to the monitor and repeat steps 1 through 2. If no external video signal is detected, check the video connection to the host computer. Using the self-test function
To help verify the correct operation of this monitor, a series of startup images and messages is
displayed. These images and messages function as a self-test. Use the following procedure to start the
self-test.
1.
Turn off the monitor and disconnect all of the cables except the power cord.

Turn on the monitor. An image like the one shown here is displayed.
A monitor status message appears next.
