4. Lower the green lever assembly, and then close the ADF cover. NOTE: If you are experiencing jams in the ADF, contact HP. Clean the lid backing Minor debris can accumulate on the white document lid backing that is located underneath the product lid. 1. Turn off the product, unplug the power cord, and raise the lid. 2. Clean the white document lid backing by using a soft cloth or sponge that has been moistened with a mild soap and warm water. Wash the backing gently to loosen debris; do not scrub the backing. 3. Also, clean the scanner strip next to the ADF scanner glass. 4. Dry the backing by using a chamois or soft cloth. ENWW Manage supplies 159
