● In any mode, the maximum operational speed is determined by the slowest SODIMM in the system. Before replacing the memory modules, follow these steps: 1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 20). 2. Remove the access panel (see Access panel on page 20). Replace a memory module: 1. Tilt the fan up and leave it in the upright position. 2. Remove the protective shielding from the top of the memory modules (1). 3. Press outward on the two latches on each side of the memory module (2), and then pull the module out of the socket (3). 4. Match the notch on the module with the tab on the memory socket (1).
