If your system does not derive from RedHat (using .rpm), you can install HPPP using the Generic Package. To install HPPP from a command line: 1. Execute the following command from where the generic installer is located (as root): $ hppp-linux-x_yz-i386 -install 2. Verify that the device communication is connected, and then enter Y to proceed with the installation. 3. Press Enter to use the default installation path or enter the new installation path, and then press Enter. 4. Enter Y to confirm the install directory. 5. After the installation is complete, launch a supported browser. The browser window appears. 6. In the URL field, enter: http://:4679 (for a standard connection) -orhttps://:4680 (for a secure connection) Installation 28
