Topic Port Fencing Port Mirroring Web Tools and Zoning Licenses Description The default settings for Port Fencing reflect very low thresholds, and may cause fence ports to experience errors. HP recommends increasing these threshold values for use in production environments. Different platforms may require different threshold settings for optimum behavior. Port Fencing is only available with the optional Fabric Watch license. Proper behavior of Port Mirroring functionality requires that the entire frame path must contain either only 8Gb ASICs or only 4Gb ASICs. If a frame path contains a mix of 8Gb and 4Gb ASICs, this functionality will not work as intended. With the release of Fabric OS v6.1.x, the WebTools and Zoning licenses are now included in the base firmware. If a licenseshow command is executed, it shows the WebTools and Zoning licenses as Unknown license1 and Unknown license2. This does not indicate any problem, and all the functionality provided by the licenses in the past firmware releases will be present with v6.1.x. HP StorageWorks Fabric OS 6.1.0c release notes 13
