If this is the case, perform the following steps: If you are installing the A5158A adapter, skip steps 1 through 4. 1. Run SAM (System Administration Manager). 2. Under Kernel Configuration, select [Configurable Parameters]. 3. Set [num_tachyon_adapters] to the number of FC HBAs installed in the system. 4. Under the Actions menu, select [Process New Kernel]. If the FC HBA is installed in the system after the operating system software is loaded, perform the following steps: If you are installing the A5158A adapter, skip step 3. 1. Run SAM (System Administration Manager). 2. Under Kernel Configuration, select [Drivers]. 3. Under the List menu, select [Configurable Parameters] and set [num_tachyon_adapters] to the number of FC HBAs installed in the system.
